We are Daniela and Thomas Lechler, and we'd say we are "middle-aged," young at heart, and extremely passionate about traveling — some might call it an addiction, and they might be right!

Now you probably want to know why we run this website?
It all started because even before we got together and married, we always traveled a lot — it is simply the most wonderful hobby in the world!

Unfortunately, memories fade after a few years. We wanted to preserve them, so we started keeping a travel journal, but that wasn't enough...
On top of that, after every trip, many friends and acquaintances would ask us: "What did you experience?", "What tips do you have for me?", "What should I pack?", "What should I see?" or "Show us your photos!" — and that's how we came up with the idea, initially as a hobby, to properly document our experiences with photos — and why not do it online, accessible to everyone.

Another thing was that while we always brought travel guides in book form, there was always information missing that would have been important to us at that moment and on the spot — so-called "extra or insider tips." Sometimes we thought: "Why didn't anyone tell us this, or why wasn't it written anywhere?" And often other vacationers we met would say to us: "You're so well prepared, where do you get all this information?"

All of this led us to write down our experiences in the form of travel reports, always including tips and genuine recommendations.

All tips and recommendations are things we experienced ourselves or researched beforehand and found worthwhile on location. We hope to give you an insight into each country and our travel experiences, and above all to help you find your way around when you get there.
