Key Biscayne: Discover the Idyllic Island Paradise at Miami's Doorstep
Today's plan: a beach day on the stunning shores of Key Biscayne. Endless stretches of beach invite you to swim with views of Miami Beach. At the southern tip of the key stands a beautifully restored old lighthouse with a fantastic panoramic view. Key Biscayne is also a great destination for a cycling excursion. A toll is charged at the entrance to the key for cars.
Coconut Grove
In the popular neighborhood of artists and intellectuals, we visit Coco Walk. In the evening, Hooters, Fat Tuesday, or the Coyote Ugly Bar beckon.
Since the end of World War I, most of the Who's Who in America have made their home in the small community of Coconut Grove. Pompous villas line the streets one after another. The center buzzes with activity in the evenings. Numerous fine restaurants and cool bars invite you to stop in.
