South Beach to Lincoln Road

From South Beach to Lincoln Road in Miami

Miami Beach – Art Deco District

We stroll through the Art Deco district and spend the evening in a bar right in the middle of the action. See and be seen – that is the motto here. Like in a movie, we watch the hustle and bustle on Ocean Drive. There is hardly a luxury car missing from the scene.
On the sidewalk we keep encountering the results of surgical procedures, neatly wrapped in catwalk-ready clothing. Even the shop window mannequins here sport a cup size 80 double D.

Miami – just as you know it from the movies.

At South Beach

You should not miss the famous beach at South Beach for sunbathing. A rather cool wind keeps us from taking a dip in March, so we take an extended walk towards the harbour.

Then we head along Lummus Park to South Beach Park. This is where the luxury high-rises stand with the apartments you have seen in one film or another.

In a genuinely chic beach bar we enjoy a few drinks while a fashion photoshoot takes place right next to us. This is where the beach ends at the entrance to Miami Harbour. With a bit of luck, you can spot dolphins riding the bow wave of boats coming in and out.

From South Beach to Lincoln Road

We walk back along Ocean Drive to the Starbucks on 14th Street. After a short break we continue up to Lincoln Road, the renowned shopping street par excellence.

A big surprise awaits us here. We discover a TeNo jewellery store. Countless shops later and several well-spent dollars lighter, we head back late in the evening. Extra tip: when the dollar rate is favourable, you can grab fantastic designer bargains here! And if you keep your eyes open, you might even spot your personal celebrity.

Lincoln Road is one of the most famous shopping and entertainment streets in South Beach. It is a pedestrian zone, which creates a pleasant environment for strolling and shopping. The street is lined with a wide variety of shops, boutiques and galleries – fashion boutiques, art galleries, jewellery stores and much more.

There is also an abundance of restaurants and cafés with diverse culinary offerings. From upscale restaurants to cosy cafés, there is something for every taste.

Cultural venues such as the Colony Theatre, which regularly hosts theatrical performances, concerts and other events, further enrich the street.

Lincoln Road is often the stage for street performers, musicians and other entertainers. The vibrant atmosphere adds to the street's appeal. It has a rich history and is of considerable historical significance. The architecture of the buildings often reflects the Art Deco style that is characteristic of South Beach.
