Sandy Beach Club

A taxi ride to Mahahual and the Sandy Beach Club costs around $4–5 USD per person. It's a fantastic spot to kick back, snorkel, and unwind. Grab a bite at the restaurant and bar, or take advantage of the many water sports on offer.
Note: Royal Caribbean is currently developing the "Perfect Day Mexico" project at the cruise port (expected to open in 2027). The port and Mahahual itself remain fully accessible to all cruise guests.

Diving Mahahual – Costa Maya, Mexico

From the cruise pier, a short bus ride of about 15 minutes takes you to the dive center in Mahahual. Diving costs $80 per person for two dives, including the shuttle bus (bookable directly at the port). Top dive sites include Lighthouse Garden and Dos Ocho, both teeming with beautiful coral, sea turtles, lobsters, and all kinds of Caribbean fish.

Beach Break in Mahahual (Majahual)

Glorious weather and a dreamy stretch of sand make for a perfect vacation day — especially with a cold Sol in hand at the swing bar in Mahahual. Nobody here is in a hurry, and that's exactly the point.

Mahahual Cruise Port

Right at the Mahahual cruise port you can also head to the beach for a swim or relax at the pool bar. Numerous boutiques invite you to browse and shop, and a wide range of activities is available — from quad tours and buggy safaris to visits to Mayan ruins and much more.
