From San Francisco to New York
April 17
We get up early, take one last stroll around the neighbourhood of our hotel, and are soon collected by the Super Shuttle for the airport — today we are flying to "The Big Apple": New York, the largest city in the USA, a melting pot of the most diverse cultures, buzzing, vibrant, and alive around the clock.
This incredible world city offers endless possibilities, whether on foot or by public transport.
Today is devoted entirely to the journey to New York. The flight from San Francisco takes nearly 6 hours, and the drive from the airport to the hotel in New York — partly due to traffic — takes another 2 hours. Our hotel in NYC is the "ONE UN New York" near the United Nations Plaza, which we can wholeheartedly recommend: the location is superb, the rooms are excellent, and thanks to a complimentary upgrade we ended up on the 39th floor with a breathtaking panoramic view over New York City. Once we arrive, we take a quick walk around the hotel before falling into bed, exhausted.
