The Fishing Village of Deshaies (pronounced Deh-ay)
In the sleepy fishing village of Deshaies, there is a good snorkeling spot right behind the marina. The town has really come into its own in recent years. There are numerous restaurants with views of the sunset over the Caribbean Sea and several guesthouses and hotels in the surrounding area.
The park is beautifully landscaped and invites you to linger. The koi carp in the enormous pond practically pile on top of each other during feeding time, and in the walk-in aviary you can feed parrot-like birds.
Pointe Ferry
At Pointe Ferry you will also find a picturesque bay of the same name that invites swimming and snorkeling
