Le Moule
In Le Moule on the east coast, you can visit the Damoiseau rum distillery free of charge and purchase excellent rum. The town itself has a viewpoint overlooking the sea and a few shopping options.
Pointe de la Grande Vigie
A trip to Pointe de la Grande Vigie, located at the northernmost tip of the island, is also worthwhile! The short circular trail starts at the car park and offers stunning views. You can practically feel the power of the Atlantic as it reclaims the island piece by piece.

L'Ancienne Prison de Petit-Canal
In Petit-Canal you can visit an old, crumbling prison, the L'ancienne Prison de Petit-Canal. Since there are no signs pointing to it, you will need to ask for directions (pronouncing the word "Prison" with a French accent helps...). The unique structure is overgrown by a banyan tree and quite impressive. (Don't forget your insect repellent!)
