In Petit-Canal you can visit an old, crumbling prison, the L'ancienne Prison de Petit-Canal. Since there are no signs pointing to it, you will need to ask for directions (pronouncing the word "Prison" with a French accent helps...). The unique structure is overgrown by a banyan tree and quite impressive. (Don't forget your insect repellent!)
