Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island - Nassau - Bahamas
Cruise tourists can reach Paradise Island conveniently by water taxi. This is where the famous Atlantis Hotel with its enormous pool complexes is located. In the "Bridge Suite" between the towers, you can stay for a mere 25,000 US$ for 4 nights — unfortunately fully booked for the next 5 years.
Also impressive is the aquarium, which is accessible to all visitors. You can see eagle rays, stingrays, sharks and many other large fish. If you fancy it, you can also take a snorkelling trip or an introductory dive there. The hotel's famous casino is also an absolute must-see — it is the largest casino in the Caribbean, with over 1,000 slot machines and 80 gaming tables.
To access the bathing area of the Atlantis Hotel, you can purchase a Beach Pass, which however does not grant entry to the Dolphin Lagoon. Tickets for this are available at the Dolphin Cay Reservations Center.
Since the James Bond film Casino Royale at the latest, the island with its extraordinary hotel has been known worldwide.

At the water taxi landing stage there is a bar serving great drinks. Double shot really does mean double shot — the Pina Colada was dark brown.
On Paradise Island, Nicolas Cage now lives in Charlie Chaplin's former villa, after Charlie's daughter sold the property. Other island residents include Tiger Woods, Sean Connery, Mick Jagger — or formerly Tom Cruise — to name just a few. The cheapest villa was available in 2010 for 4 million dollars.
