With Air Europa (scheduled flight and Flying Blue member) and about 300 euros cheaper than e.g. Condor, we departed from Frankfurt with a stopover in Madrid at noon heading to Havana. Withxc2xa0 stopovers (1 hr 25 min) we would have needed 13 hrs 45 min. Unfortunately we had a 3-hour delay, and if you add immigration and baggage claim at 1.5 hours plus the taxi to the hotel, it was already midnight Cuban time by the time we reached the hotel.
By the way: the taxi cost 25 euros xe2x80x93 this is also the official price posted at the airport for getting into the city xe2x80x93 Caution: ask about the price beforehand and negotiate, as it was originally 30 euros xe2x80x93 1 to 1 with CUC! That was the first attempt to rip us off.
Our hotel in Havana impresses with its history xe2x80x93 accordingly it has aged somewhat and is certainly not worth 4 stars. The socialist tooth of time has gnawed heavily at it. It is called Plaza Gran Caribe Address: Ignacio Agramonte No. 267, 10400, Havana, Cuba - booked through Logitravel, as they were the cheapest provider.
