Soller Bay on Mallorca

Bahamas Cruise Day 4: Key West

Day Trip to Key West

We are docked in the port of Key West (Florida, USA) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

At 10:00 we arrive at Key West and have to go through US Immigration before heading out into town.

A stroll along the famous Duval Street and a stop at Sloppy Joe's Bar is a must before we board our catamaran from Sebago Watersports at the harbor.

Captain Tony's Saloon

Captain Tony's Saloon is the oldest and, on top of that, one of the most iconic bars in Florida. The first "Sloppy Joe's".

Key West Impressions

Catamaran Tour with Sebago Watersports

From 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM we go on a snorkeling trip aboard a catamaran with Sebago Watersports. We had already booked the excursion from home ($77.40 total). The marina is just a short walk from the cruise terminal.

Unfortunately, the strong wind dampens our trip here with Sebago Watersports as well, since we cannot reach the desired reef. Instead, we visit a shipwreck, which is barely visible in the churning water.

From this point on, we are compensated with free beer and a fantastic catamaran ride under full sail. We are even lucky enough to have a family of dolphins accompany our catamaran, posing photogenically for our cameras.

Sunset at Key West

Just before sunset we are back on the ship, enjoying the magnificent sunset just like the people at Mallory Square.

We set course for Miami and look forward to a few days at Miami Beach.
