Caribbean Cruise & Road Trip in Florida

Caribbean Cruise with Royal Caribbean in March

Here we cover Miami Beach and a 7-day cruise through the southern Caribbean (Southern Caribbean Cruise)
with ports of call in: Miami, Florida; Labadee, Haiti; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and back to Miami, Florida — aboard the Voyager of the Seas, a beautiful 4-star Voyager-class ship from Royal Caribbean. Afterwards, we set off on a 7-day road trip through Florida heading toward Key West.

The onboard language is English and the passengers are mostly American.

We traveled in March, which meant it was Spring Break.
The ultimate party season for American college students, which meant the crowd on average skewed younger — and there were some great parties on board from time to time. If you're looking to socialize, you're definitely in the right place. But there are also plenty of ways to find peace and quiet.

A cruise on the Voyager of the Seas offers countless attractions — whether it's an ice rink or rock-climbing wall, mini golf or a skate park, a dining room spanning 3 levels, a spectacular onboard theater, or even the ship's own shopping mall!
In short: across 15 decks, nothing is left to be desired.

The average age of fellow passengers was between about 25 and 40, and there was lots of fun and entertainment for everyone.

We never found the 3,000-plus passengers stressful. The sheer size of the ship absorbed it effortlessly. Not even at the hot tubs on the sun deck were there any "queues" on sea days.

We found the best deal directly on the Royal Caribbean website.
