Travel season October: low season — it's quiet and affordable.
Every now and then you'll get a rainy day — it's the rainy season and hurricane season, though Trinidad and Tobago are usually spared.
The best weather for traveling is from January to May.
Tourism has been somewhat neglected by the government, and the service at local restaurants unfortunately often leaves a lot to be desired. If you don't want to wait too long and prefer friendly service, head to restaurants run by expat islanders.
