Diving at Crown Point - Tobago

Diving at Crown Point - Tobago

Friday, October 24th

We actually manage to have breakfast by 8:45 am. :-)
The Extra Divers pick us up and take us to the dive base, where we get our equipment ready.

Then we head straight out on the boat at Crown Point.
We pass by the Coral Reef Hotel, probably the most beautiful and exclusive hotel in the area. The service here is reportedly top-notch as well.

Two Dives at Crown Point

We head a bit south and enjoy two wonderful dives. We spot a giant moray eel, sea turtles, scorpionfish, stingrays, lobsters, squid, and much more.

Unfortunately it starts raining again after our dive trip. So we enjoy a Carib - the beer of the Caribbean - with the other divers at the Extra Divers base and make ourselves comfortable.

Since we are already near Pigeon Point, we head over there to relax.

Sunset

The sun finally breaks through in the late evening, and so we once again enjoy a fantastic sunset at Pigeon Point, while we stroll leisurely along the Pigeon Point Road towards Crown Point.

Dinner at Surf and Turf

For dinner we meet at a lovely restaurant, the Surf and Turf on Pigeon Point Road, above Cafe Coco.
The prices here are a bit higher, but the service is first-class. Almost a bit too much of a good thing, and the food is absolutely delicious.

Dream Beach Pigeon Point

Saturday, October 25th

We spend our last day once more at our dream beach Pigeon Point here on Tobago. A farewell snorkeling tour and another long swim in the Nylon Pool - after all, it supposedly makes you years younger.

After extensive extreme beaching, we grab some food before our driver picks us up at 5:30 pm to take us back to the hotel.

Pack and sort the suitcases, then we head out one more time. After a visit to Pizzeria La Cantina - great pizza at bargain prices, we end the vacation at the Black Onyx Bar. Right on the street and open-air, it is a mecca for the many car enthusiasts on Tobago. See and be seen, even if the ride is a wreck.

Christmas in the Caribbean

Right around the corner, a house is already decked out for the upcoming Christmas season - typical Caribbean style, and we thought the Americans go all out...
