Nelson's Dockyard National Park
Tucked in a sheltered bay lies English Harbour – the historic naval base of Lord Nelson, now the most beautiful yacht harbor in the Caribbean and a living open-air museum of the colonial era. Today known as Nelson's Dockyard National Park, it draws visitors from around the world. Former powder magazines and warehouses have been converted into charming places to stay and dine.

Runaway Beach for Cruise Passengers
The stunning Runaway Beach is best reached from St. John's by taxi. There are plenty of taxis waiting at the harbor to take guests quickly and comfortably to the nearby beach. It's worth arranging a pick-up time for the return trip right away.
The gently sloping beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing. It is ideal for children. You'll find plenty of bars, restrooms, and beach vendors here. Despite all that, you can still find your peace and quiet.

St. John's has become one of the most popular cruise destinations in the Caribbean. The charming streets come alive with activity whenever one or more ships are in port. There's a casino at the harbor, beautiful colonial-style houses, and of course duty-free shopping – open to all tourists, not just cruise passengers.
