Swimming at Boqueron - Aguadilla
Thursday, September 20th: We continue driving toward Mayaguez - along the way we discover an absolutely stunning dream beach near Boqueron with clean, turquoise water and a very gently sloping shoreline.
There is parking for an estimated 500 cars, restroom facilities, and everything you would expect at a large public pool complex, yet fewer than 20 people are at the approximately 300-meter-long beach. Absolutely amazing :-)
Aguadilla on Puerto Rico's West Coast
Here we relax thoroughly and then drive on, refreshed, along the coast through Mayaguez to Aguadilla, a town well known among surfers.
We enjoy the magnificent ocean views for a while and take a long walk along the beach.
Casa Verde
We check into a room at the Casa Verde Hotel and spend the evening at the in-house bar, enjoying a fantastic dinner alongside locals celebrating their weekend and partying loudly all through the night...
The service here is super friendly and we feel completely at home.
