Swimming and Diving on the Stunning Caribbean Island of Dominica

Wednesday, October 14th

Actually, today was supposed to be our return trip to Guadeloupe – but due to an error by the ferry company Caribbean Spirit, the whole thing got pushed back by a day. So we had time to let our days on Dominica wind down at a leisurely pace. Together with a German couple and their child, we headed to a beach at Douglas Bay in the north for some snorkeling. Here you can find many small coral gardens that are wonderful to explore with snorkel gear. In the afternoon, though, we wanted to see even more fish. So we took the dive boat to two fantastic dive sites – Easy Street & Coral Garden – near our hotel. Besides numerous moray eels, sea eels, and corals, we also spotted a beautifully posed sea turtle, which unfortunately we could no longer photograph.

Unfortunately, after our underwater camera crash today there are hardly any photos...
