We extend our car rental and drive to Anse de Mystique to simply enjoy the sun today. Along the way we stop at the sugar factory, which is touted as a sight. However, from the outside you can only see a big tin shed and you're not allowed inside.  We stop at three beaches and have each one entirely to ourselves. Wonderful! At Anse Mystique we spend an extended beach afternoon in perfect weather.

A very quick detour to the rum distillery Pere Labat, then we wind down the afternoon in the whirlpool by the beach while it's raining just a few meters away. Dinner is the obligatory grilled chicken leg at the harbor followed by an early night.
