At 8:15 AM we board the ferry from Pointe-a-Pitre to Marie-Galante. The round trip normally costs EUR 43.00 per person. Thanks to one of the many coupon booklets, we only pay EUR 35.00 per person! :)

After a one-hour crossing we grab a taxi for EUR 10.00 to our Coco Beach Hotel. Price per night EUR 89.00.
The cozy, modern and beautifully designed resort is right on the beach with a small pool. Since it's still pre-season, we are the only guests :-) and spend the day recovering from our journey.

In the evening we find the Espace Grill within walking distance and have a typical island specialty prepared for us, enjoyed with a Carib beer. For less than EUR 16.00 we had a delicious, very affordable evening.
