Right next to the cruise dock, we hop on a water taxi that takes us straight to Grand Anse, the town beach of St. George's. Along the way, we enjoy the view of the town from the water. If you prefer a quieter spot on the beach, head to the right side. The beach is actually beautiful, as long as you don't mind the many vendors. The water is wonderfully warm, and we found large to very large starfish near the shore.
After about an hour and a half, we grab the next taxi boat back, as a tropical rainstorm is brewing above us.

And so we end up getting our walking tour after all.
