At 7:00 AM we sailed into the harbor of Bridgetown, Barbados.

We meet the crew of Atlantis Submarines at 9:00 AM on the pier. A minibus takes us about 800 m to the yacht harbor. After a brief briefing at the dock, we're off.

A motorboat takes us to the submarine's anchor point.

All aboard – and moments later we descend into the Caribbean underwater world. We spot beautiful soft corals, countless fish, moray eels, sea turtles, a shipwreck, and an enormous swarm of jellyfish (breathtaking from this perspective).

The light at depth is eerie – as UV light diminishes it turns a deep blue.
After about an hour, all too soon, it's over. We make it back to the motorboat and, after a brief harbor cruise, are back on dry land by noon.
