Soller Bay on Mallorca

Puerto Rico - San Juan - Cruise Port

Travel Report: Finally Puerto Rico

After a short night, we set off at 7:00 in the morning — a quick breakfast and off we go.

We already know the airport well. So we should be able to reach our destination today. :-)

After a stopover in Philadelphia, we continue on to San Juan in Puerto Rico.

After all, we want to make up for part of the lost morning — and it's well worth it. Beautiful streets and alleys invite us to stroll and shop. We head straight to three or four shops that we grew fond of last year and don't hesitate to buy. At the market square in Old San Juan, we enjoy a leisurely coffee and learn from the waiter that the owner must also be from Cologne — someone who simply got stuck here.

Who can blame him with this wonderful climate, the friendly people, the surroundings, and so much more.

What Must Be Done, Must Be Done

Last but not least, we have the next taxi take us back toward the port.

After all, the Caribbean islands are calling, along with the obligatory safety drill on the ship before departure. Everyone put on your life vests and head down to the mass meeting in the casino.
Better safe than sorry...

Now This Is the Life...

We take the first evening nice and easy. A glass of wine on deck can't hurt while our ship leaves the port and gently heads toward our first destination.
